Wanda Vincent graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in History. After college, worked in retail management, accounting and the safety training industry before coming to SC Technical College System where she earned a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Leadership. Wanda has worked in the Economic Development Division for over 23 years.

Please tell us about your job:
I oversee divisional data systems and provide program and project support for the Division by leveraging data and information systems to produce Key Performance Measures and Ad Hoc analysis and reporting. I help to ensure consistency across division projects by streamlining processes and practices, and I manage the state-wide readySC SCTechJobs website connecting SC citizens with new and expanding companies seeking new hires.
What is something that you love about your job?
Helping others and providing the assistance and information my coworkers need to get their jobs done. I love solving problems and getting things to work as they should.
What drew you to the economic development field?
I’ve always loved working with people and have always been drawn to the education field. Working with readySC allows me to do both and help build business and industry in our state. I’ve been able to use my skills and prior job experience to make a difference. It’s very rewarding.
